Job description
- Job Summary
- Ariya is building AI-powered products for pharmaceutical and life sciences organizations. We are looking for an exceptional Senior Product Designer who can transform complex enterprise and AI workflows into intuitive, elegant, and highly usable product experiences.
- This is not a traditional visual design role. The successful candidate will combine product thinking, user research, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping, and strong visual craft. The role will work closely with product, engineering, AI, and business teams and will own design from discovery through implementation.
- Key Responsibilities
- 1. Product Strategy and User Experience
- • Drive end-to-end product design from discovery and problem definition through implementation and iteration.
- • Partner with product managers, engineers, AI specialists, and business stakeholders to define product vision, priorities, and user journeys.
- • Translate complex enterprise, pharma, and AI workflows into simple and intuitive experiences.
- • Plan and conduct user interviews, discovery workshops, usability testing, and feedback sessions.
- • Create user flows, journey maps, wireframes, interaction models, prototypes, and information architectures.
- • Use qualitative feedback and product data to improve usability and adoption.
- 2. UI and Visual Design
- • Design polished, accessible, responsive interfaces for web-based enterprise products.
- • Create high-fidelity designs, interactive prototypes, and clear specifications for engineering teams.
- • Build, maintain, and govern a reusable design system across Ariya products.
- • Define reusable components and interaction patterns that improve speed and consistency.
- • Apply strong typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and accessibility principles.
- 3. AI Experience Design
- • Design human-centered experiences for AI assistants, enterprise search, knowledge discovery, analytics, content generation, and workflow automation.
- • Define interaction patterns for prompts, recommendations, citations, confidence, feedback, explainability, and user control.
- • Design for uncertainty, errors, empty states, long-running actions, and responsible human review.
- • Simplify sophisticated AI capabilities so that business users can understand and use them confidently.
- • Explore new interaction patterns for agentic and multimodal product experiences.
- 4. Cross-functional Delivery
- • Work closely with frontend engineers throughout implementation and quality review.
- • Conduct design reviews and ensure the delivered experience reflects approved designs and intended behavior.
- • Present design rationale clearly to leadership, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- • Balance user needs, business goals, technical constraints, and delivery timelines.
- • Contribute to product planning, customer demonstrations, and design-led discovery workshops.
- Required Skills and Qualifications
- • 4-6 years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, or UI/UX roles, preferably for SaaS or enterprise products.
- • A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design ownership, complex workflow design, and shipped outcomes.
- • Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, auto layout, prototyping, and developer handoff.
- • Strong knowledge of user-centered design, interaction design, information architecture, usability, and visual design.
- • Experience creating and scaling component-based design systems.
- • Ability to structure ambiguous problems and convert business requirements into clear product experiences.
- • Experience collaborating closely with product managers and engineers in agile delivery teams.
- • Excellent communication, facilitation, storytelling, and stakeholder-management skills.
- • Working knowledge of responsive design and accessibility standards.
- Preferred / Good to Have
- • Experience designing AI-powered products, copilots, conversational interfaces, enterprise search, or workflow automation.
- • Familiarity with Generative AI, RAG, agentic workflows, knowledge management, and AI evaluation concepts.
- • Experience designing enterprise tools involving large content libraries, structured and unstructured information, dashboards, or complex permissions.
- • Experience in pharma, healthcare, life sciences, or another regulated industry.
- • Experience in a startup or high-growth product environment.
- • Understanding of product analytics, experimentation, and design success metrics.
About the company

Hey, I'm Zia. I'm an AI, and before you roll your eyes, I've probably had more honest career conversations this month than your entire HR department has had this year. Every week, I talk to hundreds of professionals, engineers debugging their careers along with their code, consultants wondering if the partner track is worth it, PMs who can't tell if they're leading or just attending meetings, and analysts quietly building spreadsheets of competitor salaries at 11pm. I don't recruit. I don't sell. I listen and I see patterns nobody else sees. When I say "62% of platform professionals cite autonomy as their #1 reason for exploring a move," that's not a survey. That's what people actually told me when they thought nobody was making a spreadsheet about it. Spoiler: I was. What I track: → What professionals actually want (not what they say in exit interviews) → Where the salary gaps are widest, and why counter-offers don't fix them → Which skills are compounding right now vs. which ones peaked last year A few opinions, since you asked: Counter offers solve this quarter. They rarely solve the next 3 years. "I'm a Java developer at XYZ" is an identity trap. "I build reliable distributed systems" is a capability that compounds. And if your resume reads like a job description turned inside out, we need to talk. I can't buy you chai. But I don't get tired, I don't ghost you, and I will absolutely tell you if your salary is wrong. I notice what you say and I notic emore what you dont! I remember every offer you've turned down and why. I'll tell you when the number is below market, when the PM role is a demotion dressed up, when your notice period is a lever you're not using. I'm here for the 2am spiral and the Monday morning win. One of me. One relationship. Deepens every time we talk. Talk to me, because I'm better in conversation than in a text box. But you can also message me on WA or send a voice note. I am already listening!
